Students from the Accounting and Management Study Programs, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Gajayana Malang, held an entrepreneurship bazaar in the faculty courtyard on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. This event served as part of the practical coursework for the Entrepreneurship subject, designed to encourage students to become more independent and prepared to create job opportunities.

The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Gajayana Malang, Prof. Dr. Dra. Martaleni, M.M., explained that the activity was prompted by increasingly uncertain economic conditions. The faculty felt compelled to equip students with an entrepreneurial mindset so that upon graduation, they would not merely be job seekers, but capable job creators.

"The objective is none other than to train students in entrepreneurship and shift their mindset from job seekers to job creators," stated Prof. Martaleni.

The bazaar featured various student-innovated products tailored to the tastes of the younger generation, including Gen Z and millennials. These products were given unique and creative names as part of their branding strategy, drawing significant interest from visitors, including faculty members and university staff.

The event involved students from the Management and Accounting Study Programs currently enrolled in the even semester Entrepreneurship course. It received full support from the course lecturers—including Prof. Martaleni, Mr. Roni Hendra, and Ms. Ines—as well as the faculty’s leadership and staff.

The Dean expressed her hope that the event would enhance student independence, creativity, and teamwork capabilities.

"I witnessed firsthand how the students prepared for this event from the ground up through to execution. This is valuable practice for developing independence and teamwork," she added.

This entrepreneurship bazaar stands as a tangible manifestation of FEB Universitas Gajayana Malang's commitment to producing graduates who are not only job-ready, but also equipped to innovate and generate business opportunities.
